In addition to getting a wonderful opportunity to network with other English-speaking professionals, you’ll also get a chance to learn about:
The Untapped Opportunities in Every Conversation
70% of service providers are found through personal contacts and networking. 80% of the best jobs never get advertised. John Niland provides the key to uncovering new opportunities in everyday conversation, finding the untapped value in what we are already doing.
Outstanding professionals know how to get the best out of every conversation and meeting. They use every dialogue to demonstrate enduring value and to build sustainable relationships. In doing so, they are keenly aware that value is ‘in the eye of the beholder’ – that each person perceives value differently.
In this new and fascinating workshop, John demonstrates how attentive conversation™ can consistently get results by understanding swiftly what people value. In this way, we find hidden opportunities that can otherwise easily go unnoticed.
Through a mix of group work, buddy pairing and individual exercises you will discover a new level of success by understanding your own unique keys to lasting value. The benefits of this inspiring session ripple through all aspects of professional life for years to come.
About John
Niland:
John Niland
is an accomplished, professional speaker whose inspirational talks and workshops
are practical, humorous and insightful, enabling delegates to cut through to
real issues that most impact their professional life. He combines practical
experience with a unique blend of story-telling and humour.
Born in Ireland, he has worked with hundreds of professionals across ten
European countries to enable them to achieve sustainable business success.
He is particularly passionate about working in sustainable ways, such as:
- How we
use our time so that every day has enduring value
- Ways by
which we raise our profile, so that every interaction has a ripple effect that
grows our reputation
- How we
price our services, so that businesses avoid being trapped by policies that
cannot be maintained
Based in London and Brussels, John runs a coaching programme called “The Outstanding Professional”, whose graduates have achieved dramatic increases in income while at the same time working fewer hours. According to John, during 2003 alone, clients of his programme ‘The Outstanding Professional’ grew their income by an average of 74%, working 22% fewer hours, by adopting practical, easy to implement strategies for change.
In
addition, he also writes a host of articles for journals and professional
publications and is also the author of “100 Tips to Find More Time”.
John enjoys sharing his wealth of experience and knowledge by speaking at
conferences and seminars around Europe, including:
- European Coaching Conference, Norway
- WIN Conference, Lausanne
- Afflica Conference, London
- “Crossing Borders” Conference, London
- Chartered Insurance Institute
- Chartered Institute of Professional Development
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
- Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales
Why John Niland?
John’s success as a speaker lies not only in making a tangible difference, but
in identifying sustainable initiatives that create lasting value for every
delegate, evidenced by the positive feedback received by organisers for years
afterwards. He
works with business advisors who plan to be outstanding; getting consistent
referrals, high financial rewards and real enjoyment from their job or business.
Here’s what John's clients say about him:
"Following John's programme has resulted in better-quality clients, which in
turn yield higher fees. I now have a clearer picture of my ideal client, and
more importantly, we are getting higher quality introductions from my existing
clients as a result of this focus. Fee income is up by 40% over the past 12
months." - Brian Harris, HLS Financial Management
“This way of generating warm leads is like designing and building a water pump. You don’t need to go to the water, which may be way below the surface and difficult to find. When you’ve built your water pump, the water is brought to you with less effort and you can rely on water being there tomorrow. We have now doubled our revenue for three years in a row". - Gareth Burton, Ash Shaw
“74% more revenue in 22% fewer hours” - Independent survey of 20 former clients, conducted by Helen Olphin, Edward Olphin Consulting
